Jeff BezosWhen he founded Amazon.com in 1994, Miami-Dade County Public Schools alumnus Jeff Bezos (Palmetto Sr. High, Class of 1982) revolutionized how the world does business. When he released Amazon’s Kindle in 2007, he revolutionized how the world reads. Now, with new competition in the e-reader market, Bezos and Amazon are unveiling a newer Kindle that USA Today calls “more powerful and less expensive.”
